Charlotte N. Green is the National Chairman of the Coalition of Independents and a co-founder of Bahamian Evolution. She has been central to the movement's advocacy, organisation and public positions on accountability, constitutional rights and Bahamian empowerment.

01

Political involvement and advocacy

Green has helped shape COI policy and organisation alongside party leader Lincoln Bain. Her advocacy has focused on transparent government, accountability, equal treatment and the protection of citizens' constitutional rights.

Her political activism has included public demonstrations and legal challenges. She has remained a visible advocate despite arrests and other personal costs associated with that work.

02

Bahamian Evolution

Green helped establish Bahamian Evolution as a grassroots movement to educate citizens about their rights, expose corruption and inequality, and argue that Bahamians should benefit from the country's natural resources.

That work helped lay the foundation for the Coalition of Independents and its mission to build a nation of educated, empowered citizens and owners.

03

Vision for The Bahamas

Her published priorities include sustainable development across the islands, good governance, education reform, economic empowerment, accessible health care and strong environmental protection.

She advocates reducing over-centralisation in Nassau and expanding infrastructure and opportunity across the Family Islands.

04

Taking Bahamian concerns abroad

In March 2023, Green joined a protest in Miami to raise international awareness of transparency, justice and accountability concerns in The Bahamas.
